| This situation is prevalent in most developing countries. The plight of the people, especially the children are truly dismal. They should not be subjected to this kind of environment and lifestyle, because it will affect not only their health, but also their psychological well being. Poverty has many faces, and this one is a stark reminder to everyone that there is much to be done to address the situation in Paraguay and other less privileged nations. Non-government organizations can intervene and aid the government in rehabilitating communities for a better future, especially for the children. By viewing videos, such as this one, we will be more aware and motivated to do something for humanity. |
| I cannot believe that there are these kinds of scenes that I can find in Paraguay. What I know about the country are its beauty and great destinations. And this one really makes me feel sad. There probably are these kinds of living from every countries. Knowing how lovely the country is, thinking of how hard it is for some just to survives makes me feel bad, really really bad. |
| Are these really the conditions in which some people live in rural Paraguay areas? If so, then it is really sad to hear about this kind of thing. What is the government doing to help these people? Can they be said to be genuinely concerned about these people? Are there other organizations or Non Governmental Organizations that are successfully developing ways to help these people by coming up with development schemes and such? |
| This ugly reality of people especially little children living in landfills is also so real in our country. How I wish that the government would do more about it. But I guess, it is also a shared responsibility with the public as the garbage collected and thrown in these landfills are from the homes of the people. |
