Zara (63.176.159.186) -
Hello, My name is Zara and I am a 25 year old graduate of International Politics and Economics. I have been living in Buenos Aires for a few months now but I want to move around the region and spend a month or 2 in the surrounding countries so I can get a better fel for the place. I really want to go to Paraguay because I feel if I don't do it now I may never get around to going, however I have heard there really is NOTHING there. Is this true? Is it a dangerous place or is it just very underdeveloped? Any tips and advice would be helpful.

I am thinking the same thing about Buenos Aires though in the past I've heard that it one of the hottest summer destination down South. I just wanted a break from the problems I had this past few months but of course I needed a place where I am sure about my own safety and pleasure. Hope someone from Buenos Aires or a tourist whom had been there can help us with the right information. Thanks.

Do you really want to go to Buenos Aires? Well this statement might make you forget some hesitancy in your mind Katrina:Buenos Aires is never more alive than it is at night. It is what you'd expect from a city that invented tango. Avenues come alive with people on their way to restaurants and theaters, especially Puerto Madero or Recoleta. People like to dress up and stay out until dawn, and anyone who visits the city should go and see a tango show. There are several major venues, most of them in San Telmo. After dinner or a night of dancing, Porteños like to grab a coffee at one of the city's myriad cafes, chat, and perhaps watch the sunrise.

Asunción Travel GuideAsunción was founded on August 15, 1537—the Feast of the Assumption, or Asunción in Spanish. Take a step back and you'll see traces of the city that was once the colonial capital of southern South America. On the drive from the airport, taxis whisk by the magnificent mansions lining Avenida Mariscal López—a furtive glimpse through a doorway reveals a peaceful patio reminiscent of those in southern Spain. Remnants of Asunción's prosperous past can also be detected in the delicately decorated facades and balconies of belle epoque buildings that have survived the vagaries of fashion, although in some instances they've yielded to commercialism by leasing the ground floor to fast-food joints with blaring neon signs.

Buenos Aires' physical structure is a mosaic as varied and diverse as its culture. The city has no dominating monument, no natural monolith that serves as its focal point. Instead, Buenos Aires is composed of many small places, intimate details, and tiny events and interactions, each with a slightly different shade, shape, and character. Glass-sheathed skyscrapers cast their slender shadows on 19th century Victorian houses; tango bars hazed with the piquant tang of cigar smoke face dusty, treasure-filled antique shops across the way.Learn more about Buenos Aires on the link below.
