The picture here should speak better than my words...Delicias Japonesas is a wonderful Japanese Restaurant. They have a buffet which I believe is 55, 000 gs, including sushi and lots of other stuff and a nice selection of plates on the menu. I chose the Tilapia. It was a tasty lunch with a good serving of Tilapia, vegetables, rice and miso soup. The cost was just 45, 000gs. plus 5, 000 for a bottle of water. At US$11.23 it was more than I usually pay for lunch, but also a nice change from my usual lunches and also less than I would pay for any lunch in Montevideo, Uruguay. Since I live just a few blocks away, I'll certainly be heading over there for lunch at least once a week... for anyone in town, or coming to town, let me know and we'll get a lunch club going. Delicias Japonesas is open from 11am to 2:30pm and pm to 11pm (midnight on Fridays and Saturdays). I need to double check but they may be closed on Mondays. They don't yet accept credit cards.
