HELLO SIR/MA. I WILL LIKE TO KNOW MORE ABOUT YOUR PROPERTY BECAUSE I WILL
LIKE TO INVEST IN YOUR PROPERTY.
I WILL TO HEAR FROM YOU SOON.
Comment #2 Eddie from Missoula, Montana - 05/27/08 05:15
"Jennifer" your IP is from Nigeria. I doubt you want to invest in any land, you are here for scamming. Please go someplace else.
Comment #3 Benilda (63.176.159.139) - 11/28/08 21:44
Now now Eddie don't bully the alleged "scammer". What if she is a legitimate investor (who don't know how to use the computer) and "is" really planning to buy a property. The keyword there is "I WILL TO HEAR", maybe she will be leaving for her country to Paraguay to buy it. Maybe and maybe not.
Comment #4 Wendy (63.176.159.110) - 12/01/08 10:59
Nah, its a scammer.. No doubt.
Comment #5 Randy (63.176.159.147) - 12/02/08 10:09
Nothing useful in this forum..
Comment #6 Sam (63.176.159.52) - 12/03/08 21:00
I agree to Benilda because most of the rich people are now old and most of them are not very familiar with computers right. I think if Jennifer is a scammer she would leave some contact details. She might be a bot or spammer though.
Comment #7 thomas (63.176.159.15) - 12/09/08 14:31
she might not but a scammer but just a waste of time.
Comment #8 Geri (63.176.159.56) - 12/16/08 13:08
This forum isn't in English. Do any of you know what your talking about?
Comment #9 Horace (63.176.159.153) - 12/26/08 11:00
Is there anything useful at all in this forum?
Comment #10 Snarf (63.176.159.52) - 06/15/09 21:34
Apparently four years of Spanish (I believe its Spanish) class hasn't helped me one bit in reading this post. Broken English in all capital letters, it was entertaining I'll give her that much. Almost like JENNIFER IS YELLING AT US. Capital letters give more emphasis.
Comment #11 cwemoy (63.176.159.149) - 06/24/09 04:38
Snarf, I doubt if you will be of any help in this forum by telling us all about your Spanish classes. Whether or not Jennifer is a spammer is of least concern in this forum though to some extent I think she is not a serious property buyer. Nonetheless, the fact that she is from Nigeria does not mean she cannot buy property elsewhere, does it? Could someone translate the original post for me even though I am not so much of an interested buyer
Comment #12 Natascha (63.176.159.164) - 06/29/09 19:44
I"m fluent in Spanish and that's NOT Spanish! That's a strange kind of Portuguese, and it doesn't make any sense at all. I don't see any kind of offer of property, either. Paraguay's language is Spanish, but a lot of Portuguese is spoken as well. Paraguay borders with Brazil and a lot of Brazilians own land in Paraguay.
Wendell: Eres Brazileno? Por favor especifica tu oferta un poco, no lo entendemos.
Comment #13 Eddie from Missoula, Montana - 06/30/09 07:52
It is the "indigenous" language from Paraguay.
Comment #14 cwemoy (63.176.159.232) - 06/30/09 11:00
It seems to me then that the two languages have a striking similarity. Being neighbours explains these two countries rivalry in football circles. Does it mean therefore that Paraguay does nit have a native language of its own? TO be able to know English, Spanish and Portuguese suggests that you are a linguist of some sort. Can I have Spanish lessons online(student kit perhaps?)
Comment #15 pale-o (63.176.159.192) - 07/08/09 06:00
How did Eddie figure out that the alleged spammer is from Nigeria and how come we cannot see his IP address for that matter? The original post has not been translated yet..could anyone volunteer to do so?
Comment #16 Eve (63.176.159.150) - 07/13/09 19:51
Okay, so this forum proves to really be going nowhere from what I've observed thus far. I hope you guys pull it together in the next one. It's a bit depressing, to say the least.
Comment #17 cwemoy (63.176.159.221) - 07/17/09 06:40
Eve, it could turn out interesting if you for example started an interesting topic say for example how did the so called indigenous come into existence. To say that the forum is not helpful at all and run away while not giving solution would not help as such, or would it?Guarani is Paraguay's indigenous language. However not many people speak the indigenous language. The country's rate of bilingualism is high.
Comment #18 Eve (63.176.159.252) - 07/18/09 14:26
Okay so maybe it can be interesting, a little. In fact, it only just got interesting my friend. Thank you very much for your insight. I'm glad you pointed out those facts about the forum because many would not have even worried about replying to a comment as such. You hit a good spot. Paraguay is a very interesting place, by the way. I've never been, but I love to experience different cultures from time to time. I might check it out one of these fine days.
Comment #19 Natascha (63.176.159.14) - 07/21/09 09:46
Well, I do speak English and Spanish fluently (and German), but not Portuguese. I just understand it a bit. I'd love to give you some Spanish lessons, cwemoy, can you send me your photo first? (Just kidding!!!)Anyway, I've been to Paraguay. Guarani is the indigenous language spoken by 7 million people, even by many non-indigenous people. And it's not related to Portuguese in any way (obviously!!) It's one language that Christopher Columbus & co. did not destroy!
Comment #20 cwemoy (63.176.159.184) - 07/23/09 04:22
Thanks Eve, that is kind of you..someone else would have hit the roof. It looks like it is not gonna be frustrating any more. Natascha, it seems then that you were not serious in having my photo. I am afraid though that I might not make it your classes if I do not measure above par...LOL!Much credit to Christopher for doing what perhaps someone else would not have done.
So how would you refer to the people of Paraguay as? Paraguayans?
Comment #21 Eve (63.176.159.202) - 07/25/09 10:47
Natascha seems very well educated on the subject. You mentioned that the language spoken was not Portuguese, lol... a bit of a laughing matter, but at the same time, what many people may sadly fail to realize is that you made a great point. Some people in the world would actually confuse something like that, which is very sad. Paraguay for Portugal and vice versa.
Comment #22 cwemoy (63.176.159.212) - 07/28/09 05:56
Yes, she must be a linguist of some sort. I am one of the people that would easily conclude that Portuguese is only spoken in Portugal without caring to think twice. It is also widely spoken in Africa mostly in countries that were the former's past colonies.Still, I think that nothing beats English at its universality. I hope this is because it is an easy language both in speech and writing.
Comment #23 moy (63.176.159.139) - 08/07/09 16:27
I do think that the fact that a country can have more than one official is to say the least, amazing. It shows the extent to which the human mind is flexible to change and responsive to adaptability. It seems also that if at all Paraguay was ever colonized, then what would have been the national language would have been Spanish. Am just wondering, what is the reason behind Portuguese and perhaps English finding their way into the country?
Comment #24 Isaac (63.176.159.132) - 08/13/09 08:50
If the forum was initially not in English but has drifted to the former and still managed to capture some audience, doesn't everyone in this forum deserve a pat on the back?I know of countries in the world that have English as the first language and forty two others with no similarity at all.
Natascha, why would it be obvious that Guarani has no relation at all to Portuguese?
